CALL FOR ARTISTS
Global Links and Creative Reuse Pittsburgh, a project of the Pennsylvania Resources Council, invite local artists to celebrate Pittsburgh’s first ever Geek Arts and Green Innovators Festival (GA/GI) on Friday, April 2, 2010. The art show and silent auction are part of the Unblurred First Friday Gallery Crawl on Penn Avenue from 5-9 p.m.
Artists of all disciplines and media are invited to create an original piece of work for the show by reusing plastic, metal and textile materials, much of which is medical surplus donated by Global Links. Artists are also welcome to incorporate their own materials. Participants can create their work ahead of time or on site during the event. All work will be silently auctioned off during the evening with proceeds going to Global Links. Creative Reuse will provide a small stipend to artists as a thank you for participating in the event.
