Our Partnerships - Global Links has developed cooperative relationships with the Pan-American Health Organization and the Ministries of Health in the countries where we operate. Our partners help to identify prioritized institutions, provide technical assistance, and ensure the safe distribution of our shipments to recipient institutions.
Support for Public Health - Most of Global Links recipients are public hospitals located in Latin America and the Caribbean . These hospitals often handle the most difficult cases and the most disenfranchised segments of the population. All have extremely limited resources. By supporting these hospitals, funds are freed up for other aspects of public health to be addressed. As we have seen with everything from the SARS outbreak in China , to Ebola in Africa, to TB in Russia, the quality of public health systems overseas can have a direct affect on our health here in the United States.
